About this bottle

Camus VSOP Cognac is a key offering from the largest family-owned cognac house, with all its cognacs containing eau-de-vie from the Borderies region. This VSOP is part of a collection focused on intensely aromatic cognacs. Distillation is performed on the lees, and the "Instensity" technique is utilized, wherein the "heads" with the most desirable aromatic qualities are selected for bottling rather than being re-distilled. The eau-de-vie matures in small, lightly toasted French oak barrels of fine grain, with a minimum aging period of 4 years.

Demetria Ferrell 4.3

Allow it to rest for a minute. Appearance: A deep orange-red color, with thick, slow-moving legs; Aroma: Strong grape notes, very perfumed and fruity, reminiscent of certain Scotches or Japanese whiskies, with vanilla on the backend; Palate: Rich and sweet, like sugar water upfront, with a taste similar to prune juice (in a good way!!), and an oily texture that coats the tongue; Finish: A short finish with a vanilla candy note at the end, a lovely conclusion *there you have it*

Jerald Spann 4.3

Prominent fruit flavors with distinct notes of baked apple and cinnamon. It concludes with vanilla and a smooth warmth. An excellent way to end a meal, and the price is reasonable. Plus, it's from an independent producer.

Meredith Do 4.3

Wonderfully rich floral notes on the aroma that then unfold with vanilla. Fruit is dominant on the palate with a hint of caramel. The finish is mild and fades quickly.

Maximus Velasquez 4.0

Not outstanding for its cost, but great overall. Truly intense and rich in both aroma and taste, it's exceptional on a long finish. One of the genuine VSOPs available.

Carmen Cronin 3.5

Subtle fruit notes with a strong floral character. A hint of spice leads to a mild bitterness at the end. A great conclusion to a meal.

Patsy Baltazar 4.3

Delicious! And at a good price too!
