FUJI Japanese Whisky is entirely distilled and aged in Japan at Mt. Fuji Distillery, which can produce malt whisky and three distinct types of grain whisky: American-style (60% corn, 35% rye, 5% malted barley), Canadian-style (95% rye, 5% malted barley), and light Scottish-style (95% corn, 5% malted barley). Master Blender Jota Tanaka blended these grain whiskies with malt whisky, aged in American white oak barrels with a medium char/toast. The whiskies average 7 years in age, with some up to 16 years. It is bottled at 43% ABV and became available in select US markets in May 2023. (SRP $70)

A light, alluring malt aroma with a delicate touch of buttered toast. The palate is round, smooth, and almost creamy. Abundant sweet malt and mild wood notes are present, with no smoke. It's more akin to a Canadian whisky than American or Scotch, and distinct from other reviewed FUJI whiskies. Highly drinkable, yet no single flavor dominates. An excellent spirit, ideal for a Japanese Highball.
A light, velvety texture, almost silky with a slight fuzz. Strong cinnamon upfront with a background of orange peel, especially when diluted.
Mild flavor, not overly sweet.
