Four Pillars Rare Dry Gin

I was pleased to find an Australian gin available in the Midwest. I was also surprised by the intensity of the anise flavor. I tried it in a gimlet and a G&T with a bit of lime to soften it. Overall, it's good. I suspect it would make a fantastic negroni, though I haven't tried it yet. I'd rate it higher, but the juniper was quite low and got lost in the gimlet. I generally prefer gins with high juniper and low floral notes.

Pungent and alcoholic on the nose. Surprisingly sweet on the palate, with floral notes, vanilla, and an easy swallow. Paired very well with Fever Tree; it has a very distinct vanilla-like flavor that makes it stand out from others.

A favorite gin of mine. I love the upfront citrus flavor from the lemon myrtle and Australian oranges. It complements the exotic hints of cardamom and star anise.

Likely the most adaptable and delightful G&T gin currently on the market. Intense orange aromas create a delicious G&T with fresh orange. Truly remarkable!

An excellent gin choice for a gin and tonic, complementing orange better than other citrus. It has earned a permanent spot on my bar. This gin is a permanent fixture on the shelf.

For some reason, the orange flavor tastes very savory to me. Like sage or Bayleaf. Not to my taste.
