About this bottle
First produced in 1972, Old Raj Dry Gin is bottled by WM Cadenhead, an independent bottler based in Scotland. Two distinct versions of Old Raj are offered, each with a different alcohol by volume. Both gin types are made with nine botanicals: juniper berries, orange and lemon peel, coriander seed, angelica root, orris root, cassia bark, almond powder, and saffron. All botanicals are distilled with the base spirit, except for saffron, which is added to the gin after distillation due to its delicate nature. This particular gin is bottled at 46% ABV and is sometimes called Old Raj 'Red Label' to distinguish it from the higher-proof version, which features a blue label.
