About this bottle

Despite its name, The London No. 1 Original Blue Gin is indeed distilled within London. However, it does not qualify as a "London Dry Gin" due to the addition of a pale blue colorant after the distillation process. This gin is made using 12 botanicals, including savory, bergamot, licorice, cinnamon, and iris root, along with a neutral spirit derived from English wheat. It is bottled at 47% ABV, with a suggested retail price of $39.99.

Carly Hall 3.5

Overall light character, with a touch of citrus and perfume, plus a hint of acetone. Mixed with tonic, the citrus is slightly dulled, and the sweet florals and spices create an unusual undertone like gasoline. Based on the description, the rating should be lower, but it remains light and easy to drink despite this.

Osvaldo Ellington 3.3

Pleasant aroma of citrus and juniper, but it's too sweet and heavy for my liking.

Nell Krause 3.0

Alcoholic and harsh. Great aroma, but not particularly flavorful on the tongue.

Dana Ramon 3.8

Good staying power and intensity, but with a more bitter profile.

Debra Augustine 4.0

Not very complex but satisfying in a Gin Tonic cocktail.

Walter Danielson 4.8

Smooth on the throat and rich in flavor.
