About this bottle

Heritage marks the 11th annual limited edition from Forty Creek. Its production is inspired by their original Three Grain whisky. Master Blender Bill Ashburn personally selected corn, rye, and barley whiskies, each distilled separately, and then finished them in toasted American oak barrels. Production was capped at 16,500 bottles.

Quentin Marcum 3.8

Nose: Maple, caramel, butterscotch Palate: Pleasant oily texture. More maple and caramel. Starts mellow. Heat builds later and remains. Some black pepper notes present. Initial mellow character gives way to some sting. Finish: Moderate length, dry, spicy, with undertones of brandy. Generally quite good. Nevertheless, it's not the smoothest and lacks complexity. This brand has produced superior offerings.

Vera Hoover 4.0

An engaging caramel aroma, with a hint of rye spice; the nose has a bit too much raw alcohol, but it improves with time. The taste is syrupy sweet initially, settling into some spice, and finishing with a touch of oak. This beverage is a dessert on its own. With a bit more aging, it would be even better, but it's a very good example of the standard Canadian whisky profile.

Chandra Higginbotham 4.0

I'm a big fan of Canadian whiskey, and this one met my expectations. When tasted on its own, I appreciated the full buttery/caramel flavor and rich texture, which was very soothing. It finished smoothly and sweetly with a subtle hint of spice. This one is definitely going on my holiday wish list.

Derek Bishop 3.8

Get out of here! This Canadian whiskey is nice. I'm happy to switch from bourbon. This is simply a clean, mellow, well-balanced whiskey. Enjoyed my first glass and am ready for another.

Levi Arteaga 3.3

I truly appreciate this offering. I'm not giving it a higher rating because it's somewhat forgettable. It's mellow overall, with maple and sweet notes that emerge when served on ice. Effortless to drink!

Evelynn Montague 4.0

I genuinely liked this one. It's definitely a contender for my regular rotation. Sweet, smooth, and easy to enjoy. "Bring more!"
