Letting this one breathe after opening helps significantly. Initially, it's quite potent and immature, but a few weeks of air exposure make a big difference. It's definitely not for beginners; those new to spirits should consider adding water or ice to approach it. However, a really pleasant and refined spirit lies beneath the initial harshness. The aroma is rich with lemons and zest, featuring herbal, minty notes, reminiscent of old-fashioned cough drops (camphor?), vanilla, barley sugar, subtle oak, and white grape/grappa. The flavor, undiluted, mirrors these notes with intense warmth and prominent raw ingredient characteristics, having a somewhat syrupy consistency. Adding water mellows it while preserving the primary flavors and introducing a pleasant cinnamon candy-like sensation. While not my top whisky choice, it's a great demonstration of ingredient synergy and the profile of unadulterated spirit.

Color - pale straw Smell - ethanol, custard, apple, banana toffee pepper, quite astringent though the vanilla eases this somewhat Taste - ethanol, baked apple, sultanas & cinnamon? Crème caramel, muscovado sugar possibly candied orange peel Finish - baked apples, salted caramel, white pepper + candy floss

Fruity and spicy. Might benefit from a few drops of water to truly reveal its complexity. An enjoyable whiskey to start the evening.

This is a favorite of mine. It possesses more depth than their standard offerings, with significantly increased intricacy and a wider array of taste profiles.

The texture is substantial, leading to a smooth finish; I'm really liking it. It's both smooth and sweet. From a scotch tasting event on the 26th.

Honey. It's cask strength, so add water. Adding a good amount of water really brings this whisky to life. Clean finish.
