About this bottle
The Madrecuixe agave plant's appearance might make one question if it is indeed a maguey. Tall and slender, after its blades are removed, the piña resembles a short palm tree trunk rather than the typical pineapple. While yields are low, the resulting spirit can be remarkable. Fidencio's Madrecuixe is pit-roasted for five days before undergoing double distillation. This unaged mezcal is bottled at 98.8 proof.
