Expresiones del Corazón is a collection of barrel-aged tequilas from Corazón Tequila, produced at Casa San Matías Distillery in Jalisco. This specific tequila was aged for a minimum of 22 months in Buffalo Trace Distillery bourbon barrels that previously held whiskey for at least 22 years. The June 2019 release marks the fifth offering in this collection and is available nationwide in limited quantities.

I prefer Reposado over Anejo. This is acceptable, but not exceptional. I was glad to sample it from a companion's bottle. In my opinion, it isn't worth $80. I'll keep 1800 or Casamigos Reposado stocked instead.
Fantastic. A bourbon enthusiast might even call this the finest tequila they've ever tasted. It's smooth. You get the classic tequila notes alongside a clear influence from the bourbon barrel.
Exceptional as a tequila substitute. It's wonderful when paired with bourbon flavors, similar to those found in Buffalo Trace.
