A sharp, Gin from the master distiller for The Shed Distillery in County Leitrim, Ireland. It was made in a medieval copper pot still, using the original 12 botanicals. The stronger ones go into the still with the spirit (juniper, cardamom, coriander, star anise, orris root, angelica root, caraway seeds & meadowsweet); and some are vapor-infused, like Citrus monstruosa & the namesake gunpowder tea. It starts bold & aromatic with notes of citrus, star anise & tea. A warm & spicy middle adds notes of berries, Citrus monstruosa, juniper berries & coriander. It finishes long, bold & spicy with hints of pepper, earth & raspberry. October 2021

I really enjoy the standard Drumshambo. This offers a nice variation from the typical Drumshambo profile.
This one is like the original gunpowder gin, but with more citrus notes.
Excellent balance with the citrus notes.
