About this bottle

Daniel Weller Spelt Wheat Recipe Bourbon is the second offering in Buffalo Trace Distillery's experimental Daniel Weller series, which investigates how different wheat varieties impact the character of Weller, the original wheated bourbon. This expression substitutes spelt wheat for rye as the secondary grain in the mash bill. It has been aged for 10 years and is bottled at 94 proof (47% ABV), with the focus on grain variation rather than barrel finishing. Each bottle includes a compass-themed stopper referencing Daniel Weller's Kentucky farm. It will be available in limited quantities beginning March 2026, with a suggested retail price of $549.99.
