This elegant, limited annual release cider from Cyril Zangs, made with Roger Groult Calvados, originates from Normandy, France. It's crafted using 69 kinds of apples grown on the estate. The cider is fresh-pressed, undergoes natural fermentation, and is effervescent. It's hand-turned in the bottle racks, and each bottle is individually opened to clear out sediment before being re-sealed at 100 proof. The experience begins with a fragrant aroma reminiscent of tart apple perfume. The middle palate is crisp and tart, featuring apple, apricot, peach, baking spices, and graham cracker flavors.
