Rémy V, introduced by Rémy Martin in 2010, is an eau-de-vie created from grapes. It is produced in a copper pot still and does not qualify as vodka or cognac, the latter requiring a minimum of two years of aging.

Aroma: fungal notes, grapes, and mint with a noticeable ethanol sting. Flavor: grape juice, pear, mint, fungal notes, and ginger with a moderate alcohol bite. The finish is brief, featuring sweet grape juice and mint. This doesn't offer much complexity. The fungal notes are unappealing, present mainly in the aroma but also slightly on the palate. It's not awful, but it's much better suited for cocktails.
