Appearance: Deep copper color with thick, slow-moving legs. Nose: Rough, intense, and untamed. Notes of dark wild honey, figs, and vanilla. Hints of sugar cane cola and brown sugar. A significant amount of nutmeg and clove reach the back of the nose. Tasting: Flavors of cherry lozenges and cherry cola. Very sweet and oily with a substantial body. Tastes like red candy with generous amounts of baking spices, specifically cinnamon and clove, on the finish. After Dilution - Nose: Upon adding water, distinct notes of cured leather emerge, along with pronounced cinnamon and spice. After Dilution - Tasting: Flavors of creme brulee crust and musty oak appear, with reduced sweetness. It remains oily, finishing with a note of damp cigar. An exceptionally good dram. The distillery certainly excels at crafting fine whisky! If this bottle is available, I strongly recommend trying it. It's highly complex and comforting.
