The aroma is lovely, reminiscent of tiramisu, oranges, vanilla-spiced cake, honey, and pears. After the initial taste, the scent shifts to a more damp, creamy aroma. It evokes the smell of a library or fabric softener, and also orange juice from concentrate. The palate is somewhat uninspired. It's bitter, akin to licking raw wood. Notes of orange peel, sawdust, and other citrus flavors are present. It has an astringent quality. The finish is quite complex and intriguing. It presents smoky, hay-like, peppery, salty, and grassy notes. While not overpowering, it has a decent length. Hints of sawdust, cough syrup, and subtle chocolate and tiramisu notes emerge. Overall, like many of the brand's limited editions, this is a very pleasant and well-balanced whisky.
