About this bottle

Cognac Park Extra is a blend of distillates aged between 40 and 60 years. Initially, each spirit spends a year in new, lightly toasted French Limousin oak before being moved to older oak barrels. The ugni blanc grapes for this cognac were solely sourced from the Grande Champagne cru, known for its chalk and limestone-rich soil optimal for cultivation. This expression represents the brand's premium offerings, highlighting the best qualities of the Grande Champagne region.

Kendall Sharp 4.0

Concluding the Park Cognac sample set of 6. The Park Cognac experience concludes with some disappointment. Hints of prune and oak accompany sarsaparilla on the nose. The palate entry is soft, round, and exceptionally smooth, echoing the nose's notes with a touch of bitterness. The finish is medium in length with lingering sarsaparilla. A significant letdown for a cognac blend aged 40 to 60 years. It's not terrible, but I anticipated more.

This is pretty solid, though I keep thinking about how it would taste with more alcohol by volume. It comes across a bit diluted from its potential.
