The aroma is sweet, like syrup and caramel, with a hint of spice and a touch of greenery. The taste is smooth and surprisingly minty right away. It has good caramel, but not a rich butterscotch flavor, and also includes orange zest, a little cherry, and spices that give it a slight burn. Cinnamon is noticeable but not overpowering, and the flavor finishes nicely. It reminds me of a mix of Arta Anejo, San Matias Extra Anejo, and a young Fuentesca. My palate isn't in top form as I drink this, but it's quite pleasant and easy to consume. There's a Clase Azul sweetness present that I like. There's quite a bit happening, and the flavors are very good. It's a remarkable tequila. Many typical tequila notes are here, and many of them are quite good. This is a truly nice tequila. It leans sweet, but not excessively so, and not in an unpleasant way. There's some numbness and pepper, but also sweet, rich agave nectar with a touch of bitterness that adds an herbal note that complements the agave and spice well. It becomes fruitier over time, with a zestier tropical flavor – perhaps tart orange juice and green pineapple. There's also a hint of coffee bean flavor (maybe that's the herbal component?). The complexity is strong, and it tastes good. It finishes with a pleasant hint of spearmint, but it doesn't taste like toothpaste. This is a nice product. I stand by my rating of 17.

If I were tasting this blindfolded, I would have mistaken it for a scotch. Incredibly smooth.
