To begin, Cedilla is among my most cherished liqueurs. I purchased one bottle, finished it rapidly, and then bought two more. It has a very deep, dark purple color, and the aroma is quite strong, even when first opening the bottle. The nose is immense and captivating, starting with a powerful, abundant amount of juicy açaí berries and grape, followed by fresh honeydew melon with floral hints and traces of earthy spice. I could discern individual components here all day. The palate is very similar, but the sweet açaí flavor is intense on the tongue, and the finish is refreshing and long, with notes of blueberry, grape, spice, and grass subtly emerging. It is sweet but not overly so or syrupy, and it has a medium-light body akin to cream sherry or port wine. This must be one of the most overlooked liqueurs available, and every review I've encountered has given it exceptionally high ratings. Cedilla creates excellent cocktails due to its refinement and pronounced, natural açaí berry flavor. It's a finely crafted product that can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or in various mixed drinks such as the Açaí Caipirinha, Amazoni, South of Bahia, and Manaus Mule. I give it a score of 98-99.
