About this bottle
Cava de Oro Tequila Añejo is produced from 100% blue weber agave, aged 7 to 10 years, harvested from both the Los Altos and Tequila Valley areas of Jalisco. Maestro Tequilero Gildardo Partida Melendrez oversees its production at the Tequilera Puerta de Hierro distillery (NOM 1477), using barrels that previously contained red wine for aging. This añejo undergoes double distillation in traditional pot stills and matures for 2 years in French oak before being bottled at 38% ABV. While distributed exclusively in Mexico, it is exported to the US and Canada under the name "Gran Cava de Oro."
