Castle & Key London Dry Gin (Autumn 2019)

Nose: Sweet juniper, honey, and abundant cinnamon. Pine, a subtle sap note, and pepper. Taste: A thick, syrupy texture. The warmth is very well-managed. Prominent cinnamon flavor, with pine and juniper in the background, alongside some anise and pepper. Finish: Extended, but the cinnamon dominates. The warmth remains controlled, yet it's difficult to discern other flavors over the cinnamon. Overall: I appreciate this spirit for its notable character, but the overwhelming cinnamon is somewhat disappointing. It drinks more like a winter blend than a fall beverage, in my opinion.
