The Casa San Matias Carmesí 1886 Tequila Reposado, a delicate spirit from Carmen Villarellay for Casa San Matias [NOM 1103] in Jalisco, Mexico, was aged for at least 7 months in former bourbon barrels. Its beginning presents hints of roasted agave, wood, and spice. A robust middle stage adds hints of oak, vanilla, and agave syrup. The finish is sweet and creamy, lasting a moderate time with notes of butterscotch and candied agave. October / December 2025
