About this bottle

This expression from Tequila Herradura's Coleccion de la Casa line is aged for eleven months in American oak before a three-month finishing period in a Cognac cask, offering a nuanced flavor profile. It qualifies as a reposado tequila due to the eleven months of maturation in American oak, despite a total of 14 months in two different barrels, which would typically warrant an añejo designation.

Davon Good 4.0

Quite agreeable. I feel it lacks the wonderful brightness of a certain premium tequila or a quality mezcal. However, the cognac barrel imparts a lovely complex dark fruit sweetness that isn't overwhelming.

Kinsley Moriarty 4.0

Potent. Slightly rough.
