Cardamaro is an aperitif made from wine, infused with cardoon and blessed thistle, and aged in oak. It's similar to Cynar but much lighter, more like sherry, and less bitter. It's sweet, like vermouth, with added citrus. Use it in place of sweet vermouth, such as Punt e Mes.

I prefer it neat, but it's also excellent with Pisco and Cocchi Americano.
