This amaro was a pleasant surprise. A perfect combination of sweeter cola notes at the start and herbal bitterness at the end. An accessible menthol overlay. A mix of Lucano, Averna, and Montenegro.
A beautiful hint of rhubarb stands out, but there's underlying complexity as it combines cola sweetness with a distinctively bitter conclusion, just touched with mint. Among my favorites.
A classic example of the alpine amaro style. Mint is present but doesn't overpower. A sweet, cola-like flavor develops in the mid-palate. A lovely alpine herbal finish. Very subtle cocoa notes are detected.
The aroma is somewhat chalky and citrusy, but the palate is delightfully bitter with notes of orange rind. This is the best amaro I've had to date.
Multi-dimensional. A pleasant herbal bitterness on the finish after initial flat cola sweetness. A classic amaro.
