Cantera Negra Anejo presents a solid offering. It deviates from a primary agave focus, leaning more towards a bourbon-like character. Prominent aromas of oak and spices like anise and oregano are detected, along with hints of caramel. The flavor profile follows suit, featuring significant oak and spice with the added dry heat of Chile arbol. The finish includes bitters and oak, leaving a slightly disagreeable sensation on the palate.

An intense Tequila from Mr. Becherano, produced by Destiladora González González in Jalisco, Mexico, and aged for approximately 30 to 36 months. It begins boldly with citrus and spice notes. Its life is bold and spicy, offering notes of cooked agave, earth, caramel, biscuit, and lime, leading to a prolonged, warming finish with hints of wood and vanilla. October 2019 / 2024
The aroma has toasted vanilla with a touch of orange. The taste features light agave, and the barrel and vanilla notes blend well with it. I'd happily drink this alongside my whiskey and rum.
Tasted as part of a flight. Excellent flavor. Preferred this over the Resposado.
Quite harsh. A strong burn and astringency.
Silky with a touch of smoke
