Campeón is an American-owned tequila brand. Its production is contracted to Distillery Tequila el Viejito, S.A. de C.V. (NOM 1107) in Atotonilco, Jalisco. Campeón Añejo Tequila is made from blue weber agave cultivated in Jalisco's Los Altos (Highland) region. Following a double distillation, the spirit spends at least one year maturing in ex-bourbon American oak barrels.

This is the first sipping tequila I've had the pleasure of trying – and it's fantastic! Complex and lightly herbal with no burn on the finish. Those who dislike tequila might want to try this.
