About this bottle

Bruxo began in 2010 as a project by friends passionate about agave spirits and committed to traditional mezcal production. Each expression is created by a different maestro mezcalero; this particular one is crafted by Lucio Morales Lopez using espadín agave harvested between 7 and 8 years old. It undergoes double distillation in copper pot stills.

Janette Anderson 4.0

The aroma carries notes of charcoal, ash, wood smoke, smoked meat, vegetation, agave, burnt rubber, cocoa, and black pepper. The palate is dry and rich, revealing flavors of ash, smoke, black pepper, agave nectar, vanilla, honeysuckle, and rubber. The finish is hot and spicy.

Ted Coon 4.5

This is about as straightforward as they come. The nose reminds me of an old closet, and the taste is extremely balanced. It coats the palate with light smoke and a distinguished character.

Elinor Freeman 3.8

Sampled neat by the pool with a friend The nose is very herbaceous, earthy, and rich. It evokes sunflowers in mid-summer. On the palate, it's smooth, earthy, and smoky.

Davis Persaud 3.8

Drank on Father's Day 2020 at the Perrelli House in Smithtown. Enjoyed in a mixed drink with muddled lime and sea salt, topped with club soda.
