About this bottle
In the far northwestern region of Illinois, Blaum Brothers Distilling Co. produces a variety of crafted spirits. Given their concentration on gin and whiskey, it is unsurprising that some of their gins would eventually be barrel-aged. This is not a straightforward method of reusing bourbon barrels; instead, it involves a sophisticated combination of different oak types to create a "Reserve Gin" series, with each batch utilizing a unique composition of oak varietals. For its initial batch, two former bourbon barrels are combined with two new oak barrels that have undergone significant toasting.
