Barrell Craft Spirits introduces its 36th bourbon batch with a new label design emphasizing transparency. This bottling features a mix of straight bourbon whiskeys with ages ranging from 7.5 to 15 years, sourced from Kentucky (9 years), Indiana (7.5, 8, and 10 years), and Tennessee (8 and 15 years). The combined mash bill consists of 79% corn, 16% rye, and 5% malted barley. It is presented at cask strength, 114.44 proof (57.22% ABV). Available starting May 2024 from the BCS website and select US retailers. ($89.99)

Nose: leather, red fruit, honey Palate: pepper, cinnamon, almond, hint of orange Finish: long and peppery Add a couple drops of water and it becomes sweet with some soft grain 7.75/10
First tasting. Spicy, slightly sweet, full-bodied, with baking spices, prominent cinnamon, dark fruits, cherry cola, and a touch of leather. More challenging than batch 34, but possibly superior.
