Nose: Very dusty, nutty aroma. Evokes high-age Beam products. Vanilla custard, caramel, cream soda, rye spice. Nose is very enjoyable. Palate: Somewhat subdued compared to the strong nose. Peanut, caramel, vanilla, root beer, seasoned oak, Very viscous, smooth texture. Finish: Dark chocolate, sweet and spicy oak, peanut, warming. Medium finish. Overall: I truly enjoyed this. I believe the nose is slightly better than the palate, however, the texture compensates for that. It makes me curious about the source of the whiskey as it resembles Beam or Heaven Hill. If you appreciate older Beam/HH expressions, you will likely enjoy this one too. Rating: 4.02/5

The beer aroma was noticeable. The sip was smooth. The cost was the only factor preventing an immediate purchase.
