About this bottle

Beginning in 2021 and continuing annually through 2025, Bacardí Reserva Ocho Rye Cask Finish marks the second offering in a five-year limited edition Cask Finish Series. This rum starts as Bacardí Reserva Ocho, which is aged in American oak barrels in the Caribbean for eight to twelve years. It then rests for two months in former rye casks. This expression became available throughout the United States in September 2022.

Noreen Larios 4.3

This is a spicy rum, but not a spiced rum. It's fascinating. The rye casks give it a lively flavor. Notes of rye, caramel, toasted vanilla, young tobacco, and baking spice are present throughout. It has a medium-heavy body, making it excellent as a base for a tiki cocktail or a dark rum drink. The finish is quite long, leaving a tingling sensation on the palate. This is a fantastic rum that we would happily purchase all year.

Khloe Brower 4.0

To create something positioned between a rum old fashioned and a rye old fashioned, this is precisely the spirit you require. It won't be a major shock. I, for one, am not fond of "funk"; even Appleton's level of funk is excessive for my palate. This offers intrigue without possessing the funk found in Appleton.
