About this bottle

Single malts from Auchroisk, pronounced "ar-thrusk," are infrequently encountered, and this 2016 bottling represents the third appearance in Diageo's Annual Special Releases. The distillery, possibly due to its challenging name, has undergone several rebrandings throughout its history, including "The Singleton" in 1986, "Auchroisk" in 2001, "The Singleton of Auchroisk" in 2008, and finally reverting to the original name, "Auchroisk." This limited edition was created by marrying whiskies that matured for at least a quarter-century in refill American and European oak casks, and it is available at 51.2% ABV.

Brayan Russ 5.0

Golden color. Quite a strong bouquet, yet refined. Very flavorful, sharp, spicy. A very pleasing finish.
