About this bottle

Situated near Knock Hill, known in Gaelic as 'the dark hillock,' Knockdhu distillery was established there for its abundant high-quality water and peat. It was the first single malt Scotch whisky distillery commissioned by DCL (Distillers Company Limited). Knockdhu is a rare Scottish operation, marketing its whisky under a different name due to an arrangement to prevent confusion with Speyside's Knockando. This expression was distilled in 1996 and bottled in 2011, making it a 15-year-old whisky.
