About this bottle

This 10 Year Old Doublewood comes from the Willowbank Distillery in Dunedin, New Zealand, which was once the world's most southerly distillery before its closure. The whisky spent six years maturing in American oak, followed by four years in French oak barrels that previously held New Zealand pinot noir. The distillery ceased operations in 1997, and the New Zealand Whisky Company acquired the remaining 80,000 liters in 2010, subsequently releasing this bottling.

Corey Goins 3.0

A very unusual whisky. It resembles drinking a Christmas pudding, with abundant woody flavors and little else. Pairs wonderfully with desserts.

Ashanti Ingram 2.0

This is a sweet and sharp whiskey. The finish is not smooth. Adding a bit of water reveals butterscotch and mellows the finish. '2.5'

Damien Coronado 2.0

An interesting idea. I'd be keen to try it in five years.
