Allowing it to rest for approximately 5 minutes. Appearance: Clearly a deeper, warmer amber than the Reposado, like a limited edition sunset 😉, legs fade; Aroma: Sweet, developed notes of cooked agave, a touch of oak and even smoke, sugary, like pecan pie!; Taste: Fantastic!, Wow!, Sweetness of pears and plums, entirely sweet, without any hint of the smoke I detected earlier; Finish: Wonderful finish, I can't praise this enough, it's like licking a sugar cube, this is the best tequila I have ever experienced (up to this point!)

About this bottle
Kendall Jenner established the 818 Tequila brand. The agave for this tequila is cooked in brick ovens for up to 40 hours and then crushed with a tahona. After fermentation, it undergoes double distillation in pot stills. The añejo tequila is aged for over a year in French oak before being blended with extra añejo tequila prior to bottling.

Tequila 818 Añejo follows its reposado counterpart. It's excessively focused on vanillas and sweet components. On the nose, we detect hints of wood, spices, clove, incense, and honey. The palate shows wood, clove, vanilla, and honey. It leaves a very buttery texture on the palate while delivering a lingering woody finish. I rated this average because, for an añejo tequila, it doesn't highlight the complexities of the barrel and the agave.
An elegant Agave Spirit from NOM 1137. It presents an aromatic beginning with notes of agave, wood, herbs & spices; a rich development adds caramel & vanilla notes; culminating in a long & balanced conclusion with notes of oak, pepper & chocolate. April 2016 / 2017
Incredible. I've never been one to sip tequila, but this is exceptional. I usually drink bourbon, yet this is very accessible. It's quite sweet with a hint of spice. Delicious.
A more subtle playdough and cinnamon roll.
