Nose: Aged wood aroma, with hints of spice like black pepper and nutmeg, sweetness from the malt, subtle floral and fresh herbal notes, a pleasant citrus reminiscent of cider and lime, fruity notes of pear, loquat, and yellow fruits, abundant vanilla, coconut, marzipan, and a touch of buttery richness. The alcohol warmth is noticeable but not unpleasant. Palate: Very sweet, with a well-balanced robust bitterness, good oak woodiness, peppery spice, herbal notes, vanilla, fruitiness, and significant alcohol warmth. While it aligns with the aroma, it's less complex on the palate, with the bitterness and alcohol being more assertive. Lacks creaminess. Finish: Medium length, with a woody and spicy aftertaste, still leaning towards black pepper.
