About this bottle
A Korenwijn must contain at least 51% malt wine. For this expression, the malt wine is derived from a mash of equal parts corn, rye, and malted barley, quadruple-distilled in a copper pot-still. A portion of this malt wine is then redistilled with juniper, licorice, and aniseed, blended with the remainder, and reduced to 45% ABV. The spirit is subsequently aged for ten years in new 200-liter American oak barrels and bottled at 38% ABV. This is a single-barrel bottling with limited availability in European markets.
