Nose: Polished oak furniture, herbal potpourri, diesel, decaying apples, baked pears, kerosene, fresh vanilla bean, cinchona bark, turpentine, thyme, malt extract, molasses, and brass polish. After some time in the glass, a variety of baking spices emerge. What an impressive aroma! Surprisingly, the scent from the empty glass is quite similar to some bourbons, with an added herbal honey top note. Palate: Rich, dense, and enveloping. It's very sweet and spicy upon entry, with more warm baking spices and herbal oak notes. As it develops, notes of licorice, anise, and clove appear, alongside a blend of herbal potpourri. The palate is expansive and earthy, never becoming overwhelming; the sweetness is perfectly balanced by woody, earthy, and herbal tones. Finish: Medium to short. Sweet, herbal, and grassy. Quite satisfying with persistent woody notes. The aroma and palate of this aged corenwijn are distinct yet complementary, like identical twins with individual personalities. The nose is momentous and unlike gin, bearing more resemblance to some scotch whiskies (specifically Auchentoshan). The palate is captivating with every sip. It begins sweet and gentle, then unexpectedly turns herbal, grassy, and piney, before quickly settling into a warm, malty embrace. It consistently catches me off guard. Imagine green Chartreuse, Auchentoshan 12, and Buffalo Trace colliding at high speed. I strongly recommend that any serious spirits aficionado try this at least once. Taste it neat and allow it time to reveal its complexity. This is absolutely not something to be wasted as shots or a mixer. "Very Good": 87/100 (4.25 stars)

The review from a friend perfectly captures it. Very herbal, with aniseed. It's like a wine cooler mixed with sparkling apple juice. It's not really for me, but I won't assign a rating as I'm not an expert. Thanks to my friend nonetheless!
