Nose: Vanilla, caramel Palate: Cereal forward, malt, vanilla, sweet pear Finish: Spicy, cinnamon, oats Overall a solid whiskey; this batch was made from sourced base whiskey and finished in Pittsburgh. Good for mixing, or drinking with a little soda or ice to enhance some of the more subtle notes.

About this bottle
This wheat whiskey is produced using locally sourced, organic wheat, ground on-site, and distilled in a copper pot still. It matures for approximately one year in charred oak casks. The distillery is named to honor Philip Wigle, a German farmer and prominent figure in the 1791 Whiskey Rebellion. While his surname was pronounced 'Vigol,' the distillery uses the pronunciation 'Wiggle'.

Received as a Christmas present from my son. A nice local Pittsburgh distillery offering various whiskeys. It had a very fresh taste; I enjoyed it, but I don't think I'll make a special effort to buy it. 6.7 out of 10.
The aroma is incredibly sweet, intricate, and enjoyable. Much better than the flavor for me. The palate is harsh with a kick. Not my preference.
A bit harsh on the nose, with vanilla notes appearing later. I likely wouldn't purchase it again, although I do appreciate the concept of a locally produced spirit.
Nose: Damp, grassy, and like dried grass Palate: Clove, damp footwear, and malt Finish: Lingering and reasonably smooth
I don't prefer wheat bourbons, and this one is particularly not to my liking. It's excessively bittersweet.
