About this bottle

This limited edition bottling from Penelope's Cooper Series features a straight rye whiskey sourced from Indiana (95% rye, 5% malted barley). It has undergone a finishing period in Hungarian Tokaji wine casks. Unlike the previous release, which had a 6-year-old base, this whiskey was aged for 8 years before the finishing process. It is bottled at 106 proof, with 1,900 six-pack cases available starting in February 2024. (SRP $89.99)

Margret Medlin 3.8

NEAT NOSE - Floral, Berries, Orange Peel, and Honey PALATE - Slight herbal undertones carried by honey. FINISH - Medium length finish that leaves a 'clean', minty aftertaste which is pleasant. BUY? - This is decent. I think more alcohol content would have been great. BUY AGAIN? - Perhaps not this specific release, but I might purchase one with more age or a higher alcohol content.

Marissa Metz 3.5

Reminiscent of Pikesville, but with a touch of dustiness. It presents abundant spice and wood characteristics, yet maintains a pleasing sweetness. The aroma evokes Michter's 10. The palate features oak in the middle, concluding with a spicy, sweet, and slightly arid finish.

Cameron Phelan 4.0

Pleasant flavor, unique. It's a little hot, but quite tasty overall.
