The packaging has no bearing on the score. The packaging is definitely a perfect score. It's attractive, much like the whiskey inside, which has a lovely red hue. The whiskey itself is very unremarkable. Besides the currant flavor, there isn't much else. It has a slight bite, even for its proof. I'm sure the blend is young. Still, I appreciate that it retains a whiskey character. The fruit is not overwhelming like in other comparable whiskeys. The issue remains that it lacks anything beyond that. It's thin. There's no lingering finish. It has some sweetness and some tartness. The berry note is discernible but, as stated, not overpowering. It's not something I would purchase again. Maybe as a gift. But for the price, superior fruit-forward choices are available. Cool bottle, though.

Nose: Black cherry, plum, chocolate, graham cracker, cinnamon, baking spice. Taste: Echoes the nose. The black currant infusion is prominent initially, with traditional bourbon notes appearing on the finish. This isn't just a cheaply flavored spirit; it has a robust bourbon foundation that has been well-infused. Additionally, the bottle design is exceptional. Bourbon enthusiasts, particularly those who enjoy dark fruit flavors, should try it.
This is a blackcurrant-infused whiskey with excellent aroma and flavor. It's delicious served chilled on its own or mixed with many beverages. The bottle's design is very cool and includes a unique gargoyle pour spout that dispenses from its mouth! It has a cap for when not in use, or an internal stopper you can keep or remove. I've removed the labels from empty bottles and refilled them with my other favorites! Love it!
It's sweet from the start, with vanilla and some subtle oak. Its most prominent note is dark berry, with black currant/blackberry flavors appearing near the finish. It's a rather smooth sipper for 90 proof, and while I usually avoid flavored spirits, this isn't too bad.
This is a celebratory whiskey! Not a very sophisticated taste, velvety and sweet with prominent berry notes. Extremely easy to consume in large quantities and great for a campfire. The unusual pourer makes it simple to dispense directly into mouths while shouting, "Gargle the GOYLE!"
This whiskey is truly outstanding, appealing to both experienced drinkers and newcomers. It strikes a perfect balance between sweet and tart, with exceptional smoothness. The presentation is also stunning!
