The grape spirit provides a rich, fruity foundation, with subtle juniper and citrus notes throughout. It's sharp and tingly when tasted neat, with a peppery hint and an unusual but not unpleasant medicinal finish. Adding tonic brings back a sweet richness along with floral hints. It's not exceptionally distinctive for a contemporary gin, but it performs well.
