After an initial burst of warm, tingling spice and sharp citrus zest, the flavors echo the nose, starting with sweet malt and grain, raw sugar, light honey, and vanilla taffy. Then it shifts towards fruit with white peach, Anjou pear, Ruby grapefruit, and finally a subtle wood note. The body is adequate, especially considering the low ABV, and feels quite smooth. The legs, though somewhat quick, are well-defined and visually appealing with heavy teardrops. The finish is brief, slightly dry, and somewhat tannic, even metallic. A faint sweetness remains, mainly resembling Juicy Fruit gum, along with a wisp of cinnamon spice. If you're undecided about trying this whiskey, my suggestion is to just go for it. Review #12 - Whisk(e)y #8 Aroma: Gentle and welcoming, it develops nicely with vanilla and honey. It's noticeably smoother than Bushmills Original or Jameson Original. Taste: Smooth and balanced, with sweet vanilla, honey, and a mild peppery spice that adds some complexity (thankfully not overpowering like in the aforementioned whiskies, lacking that intensity). Finish: Light and sweet, with a hint of oak, short, maybe short to medium length. It's a very pleasant whiskey, and I do endorse it. I opened the small bottle and took a sniff: it smells exactly like a light American lager (like Coors Light). Seriously. So I poured it into my rocks glass -- neat, naturally -- and took another whiff. Yep, that's Coors Light if I ever smelled it! Oh dear, what will it taste like? Oooh, okay, that's not beer. Phew! I'm getting smooth honey. Nice. Hints of orange peel on the exhale. I'm also detecting some vanilla. Wow, not bad, not bad at all. Overall, honey and those classic "Irish whiskey" notes are the most prominent. My rating is based on sipping it neat.

Nose: Smooth. Green apple, vanilla, and citrus. Like candy. Palate: As on the nose, it's quite sweet on the palate. Vanilla is noticeable. Easy to drink. Sherry cask influence adds red fruits and light sweet spices, giving it a special character. Oily mouthfeel. Finish: Medium length, with spices and caramel.
