Colorado Gold is a four-grain bourbon with a composition of 65% corn, 15% rye, and 10% each of wheat and malted barley. This straight bourbon undergoes aging for at least three years in 53-gallon new, charred American oak barrels with a #3 char. It is produced and aged in Cedaredge, Colorado, at an elevation of 11,000 feet.

Pleasant scents of honey, fruit, faint caramel. Significant butterscotch and mild heat with spice on the finish. Impressive refinement for a 90 proof starter bottle. Discovered it on sale at a neighborhood store and decided to try it. Incredibly pleased I did!
Smells like brown sugar, molasses, pine sap, and stone fruit. Tastes of wood tannins, baking spices, and is uninteresting. Finishes medium in length and tart. This was part of a tasting of barrel 87.
It's earthy, and the taste isn't nearly as sharp as the smell. I also noticed walnut.
This is a truly good bourbon. I acquired a bottle for $15, which represents an incredible bargain.
Sweet caramel with grassy notes. Mellow, without the smokiness typical of bourbons.
