Crown Royal Noble Collection French Oak Cask Finished

Initially, I was underwhelmed by this pour, finding no distinct flavors or spices I could identify. However, with subsequent tastings, I've grown to appreciate its uniqueness. This release is incredibly smooth and clean. In terms of flavor, I can only describe it as pure, smooth whiskey at its core. Nothing else, and that in itself is a remarkable achievement. My preferred way to use this whiskey is in an Old Fashioned, which, when made with this spirit, is typically exceptionally delicious.

I appreciate the Noble series from Crown and its various expressions. This particular one ranks in the upper-middle tier. It doesn't have many pronounced notes, but offers a subtle blend of sweetness, spice, and toasted French cask on the finish. It's quite expensive at over $100. I much prefer the 13-year bourbon mash at a significantly lower price point.

Minimal initial aroma or flavor. However, as I continued to sip this dram, I grew to appreciate its very mellow, smooth, and neutral taste. Worth trying!!!

Smells strongly of vanilla. The mouthfeel is moderate. Tastes of vanilla and sweetness, perhaps caramel or maple, with a hint of spice and wood.

This is definitely an improvement over the regular Crown Royal. The subtle barrel-aged notes imparted red fruit and nutmeg... nothing spectacular, though.

As smooth as regular c.r. but possesses a pleasant lingering aftertaste 👌
