Nose: orange, caramel, vanilla, lemon peel, floral notes (surprisingly), very light wood, honey, mild for such a high Proof BTAC Nose After Swirl: stronger whiff of alcohol burn, dried orange, brown sugar Palate: Thick mouthfeel, this thing coats my mouth like heavy cream lol. Nice and potent, very punchy & much stronger than the nose, I can practically chew on this whiskey, nice tingle/burn, dark fruit notes, caramel... pear? Finish: looooooong finish, nice and juicy ๐Ÿ’ฆ, maintains the darker notes of the palate while highlighting the sweet orange & fruit notes.

Hiram Mcclure 4.5

The aroma is predominantly floral rye, with sweet oak, molasses, and subtle hints of vanilla following. The palate offers a rich and chewy texture that fills the mouth, transitioning from floral notes to an earthy chocolate. Smooth oak provides structure, while vanilla, pepper, and brown sugar contribute to a distinctly rye character. The finish is gentle and pleasant, with the rye lingering throughout the mouth. The palate experiences wonderful highs and lows, culminating in a softly fading and delightful sensation.

Aroma - Quite light and floral. Lightly browned sugar with a hint of toast, and vibrant oak. A trace of custard and honey. Taste - Wow, apple pie fresh from the oven with cinnamon on top. Significant barrel char that transforms into baking spices. Honeydew on flowers that enhance the oak. A touch of butterscotch towards the end. The texture is rather thin. Finish - The finish is oaky and sweet, reminiscent of the inside of a creme brulee.

Aroma- caramelized spiced pecans and hazelnuts, nutmeg and cinnamon, luxuriously rich sweetness over a rye spiced base. Almost no burn even deep in the glass. Taste- very rich buttered banana or zucchini nut bread, toffee, some cigar tobacco, dates, coconut water, mint, orange peel Finish - lasts for minutes. Mint, leather, rye spice, oak, cola, brown sugar, sugared orange zest,

Aroma: peppery, with cinnamon and an earthy scent. Palate: brown sugar and spicy rye. Finish: Earthy, leathery, spicy, with a touch of bitterness. This whiskey is one-of-a-kind and utterly delightful!! I could spend all day with just one serving, savoring and smelling it; truly magnificent! And to think this was once considered subpar for the BTAC for years!

Bobbie Gandy 4.5

The nose presents spice cake and a pleasant herbal freshness. On the palate, bright rye spice mingles with creme brรปlรฉe and oak notes. Remarkably smooth and balanced for its strength. The finish lingers with citrus, char, and more rye. It's a harmonious blend of flavors, all components working in concert.
