Incredibly, unbelievably delicious. The 126.2 proof is not overpowering, and this Fall 2016 bottling is significantly better than this year's George T. Stagg. The Handy has a wonderful honey graham cracker character, along with a good amount of fruit. I paid a premium for it ($400), but have absolutely no regrets. I strongly urge you to get a bottle if you have the chance.

What a pour! The flavor was decent, but the viscosity and mouthfeel truly set this product apart. I'm not referring to the taste, but when this whiskey contacted my tongue, it was like butter melting. This whiskey had me smacking my lips. I'm unsure if I'm reviewing the correct year, but it was 129 proof and drank like 105. I'd welcome another chance with this product.
The aroma is deep with a trace of dill pickle and butter. The alcohol is quite noticeable. It has a complex taste profile. The texture is a bit too light, as if it doesn't fully express its flavor. I find it to be quite tasty, though. Sweet pickles are present in the smell and on the palate, along with sweet fruit. It's spicy, finishing with pecan shells. The experience is rich, deep, and very warming.
NOSE: Sweet pumpkin loaf with dark treacle. Crushed peppercorns. Faint charred bread. PALATE: Spiced pumpkin coffee drink enhanced with a swirl of syrup, followed by an intense dark mint chocolate aftertaste. OVERALL: Lovely blend of tastes, venturing far past typical Bourbon or Rye profiles to evoke sensations of baked goods and meals.
Nose: vanilla - rye - spice - slight mint Palate: pepper spice - burnt sugar - or Finish: incredible - burns and lingers - taste and feel it long after - pepper - burnt sugar - fall spices - *added water - one drop - enhanced the finish even more - much smoother - still a long warm burn - more spice and sugar - light pepper and possibly mint
The nose presents bold baking spices initially, followed by brown sugar and graham cracker. The palate offers a slight hint of mint, spice, pepper, and brown sugar, remaining balanced and not excessively sweet. The finish is long, developing into more pepper and concluding with an intense sweetness. An outstanding pour.
