Braydon Gillette 3.5

My third encounter with a Whistler Irish Whiskey, this one bearing the intriguing moniker, "The Good, The Bad & The Smoky". As anticipated, this is the peated variation of Boann's The Whistler, bottled at 48% ABV. On the nose, it begins with notes of Lemoncello, a subtle vanilla, and an ashy water. Not much else emerges. On the palate, it starts with the ashy water. It feels significantly diluted. Pepper and ash are present, along with Lemoncello. The aftertaste is singularly characterized by ash. Overall, this is an acceptable dram, but I truly wish it offered more. It is far too direct, lacking complexity and becoming somewhat dull, which is surprising for a peated whiskey. My rating for it is 71 out of 100.

Roseann Solano 1.0

Salty peat and a smoky character. This isn't quite my preference, but if smoky scotch is what you enjoy, I'd say give it a shot.

Makenna Rutledge 3.3

Sweet, young, slightly smoky.
