Wemyss Malts Kiln Embers

The finest Wemyss I've ever experienced. This is a sophisticated whisky, intricate and skillfully made, suitable for connoisseurs. Bottled at 46% alcohol by volume. The aroma is highly complex and well-executed, featuring tropical fruits, white wine, peat, cut grass, chocolate fudge, pineapple, and coconut. Delightful. The taste offers significant character, with peaty/earthy notes, smoke, dry grass, and a dry sweetness, characterized by a mild peat. The finish is ashy with a hint of cigar. Very similar to Ardmore. Overall, it's a pleasant dram. The price adds value. Rated 87 out of 100.

Delightfully smoky and smooth. It has an oily texture with lingering warm peat smoke and a pleasant spice that doesn't overpower the palate. Iodine and medicinal notes are noticeable. If you enjoy Islay Scotches, this offers good value under $40. It's a limited edition, so stock up.

The smoky flavor lingers on the palate and has a mild burn. This is the finest blended scotch I've found if you appreciate peat and smoke in your scotch!

Tastes odd. Like a cheap blend. Lacks smoke and freshness. Dark but uninteresting. It's good quality, but not to my taste.

Needs improvement, with a significant amount of gasoline. The peat and smoke don't enhance it.

46% ABV, non-chill filtered, peaty malt blend? Consider me interested.
