About this bottle
This 48-year blended Scotch whisky represents the fourth release from The Last Drop Distillers. The youngest component in the blend dates back to 1965, with some elements originating from even earlier periods. Some whiskies included in the blend come from distilleries that are no longer in operation. In the 1980s, the whisky was transferred to first-fill American bourbon barrels for re-casking. It is presented in a display case that contains a miniature bottle for sampling, allowing the main bottle to remain unopened. A total of only 592 bottles were released.
